Headed to Asheville, NC

Our 4th anniversary is on Monday, May 12th and we're heading to western North Carolina for a few days in the hippie mountain town of Asheville, NC. Everyone we meet always tells us how this is so our kind of place and how we need to go check it out, so we're gonna!

We're staying at the Bent Creek Lodge, it's owned and operated by a hubby & wife, kind of a cross btwn a B&B (so not our style) and a hotel (boring chain hotels = no thanks!). They make fresh gourmet breakfasts everyday and all the rooms are different NC themes. We'll be about 10 miles from downtown Asheville tucked into the glorious western NC mountains.

Asheville is full of stuff to do - live music, art, breweries, local restaurants, hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, the famous Biltmore - should be a good time all around. Only 3 more days till our getaway!

Yay! I'm so glad you are staying at Bent Creek. We've really enjoyed staying there on our last 2 trips to Asheville. Jodee is a great hostess and awesome cook. If you go for a walk, make sure you take the doggies - they'll lead the way through the woods! Also, they have a great book of restaurant suggestions - if you like BBQ, don't miss 12 Bones.
